North Andover skated off with the crown.
In quarterfinal play, Beausang scored two goals and set up another, Tringale and McDonough both also scored twice and Gosselin had two assists in North Andover’s 9-2 win over Chelmsford; Wakefield advanced past Manchester/Essex; Lanza scored two goals and handed out three assists and McManus and Banfield both wore hats in Winthrop’s 10-3 win over the Mustangs, who had advanced through a play-in victory over Burlington; and Rego, who also had an assist, scored the overtime winner as Dracut shaded Melrose 4-3 – Workman also with two goals in the win and Viliott two goals and an assist and O’Keefe a goal and a helper in the loss.
In the semifinals, Beausang scored one goal and set up two others, Conte scored twice and Losca had a goal and an assist in North Andover’s 5-2 victory over Wakefield – Rowan Mondello with a goal and an assist in the loss; and Lanza erupted for five goals and an assist and McManus added a goal and an assist in Winthrop’s 7-2 triumph over Dracut.
In the final, Beausang scored what turned out to be the winner 15 seconds into the second period as North Andover edged Winthrop 2-1.
